Getting started for businesses
From sign-up to the first conversion reported from your site - six steps.
Step 1 - Sign up and create an organization
- Sign up at affilink.co.il/signup (email and password, or a Google account).
- On the "How would you like to use affilink?" screen, choose "I'm a business" and enter your business name.
- An organization is created, and you are its Account Owner - full control, including billing and deletion.
Step 2 - Create your first offer
An offer is a product or service you want affiliates to promote. For each offer you define:
- Title and product link - where the visitor lands after the click.
- Commission - a percentage of the sale or a fixed amount. This is what the affiliate receives, in full - platform fees are on you, on top of the commission, and never reduce it.
- Attribution window - how many days after the click a sale is still credited to the affiliate (default: 30).
- Visibility - private (invitation only) or public in the affilink marketplace (exposure to all affiliates in the network, for a 3% exposure fee - on you, not on the affiliate).
- Affiliate approval - whether every affiliate needs your approval before promoting, or joining is open.
A new offer is created as a draft. You move it to "pending review" and approve it - from that point affiliates can apply.
Step 3 - Connect your site to conversion tracking
This is the only technical step, and it's critical: without it, clicks are counted but sales are not. When the offer is created, a webhook_secret is generated for it - a secret key used to sign the reports from your server.
- Give your developer the
offer_idand thewebhook_secret(over a secure channel - not in plain email). - The developer follows the integration guide (in English, about 30 lines of code, including a ready WooCommerce example).
- Verify with a test order that the report comes back with a
conversion_id.
Step 4 - Invite your team (optional)
From the dashboard you invite team members by email, with a role:
| Role | What they can do |
|---|---|
| admin | Everything except billing and deleting the organization |
| affiliate_manager | Managing affiliates, approving applications and offers, special rates |
| finance | View-only access to financial reports |
| analyst | View-only access to dashboards |
The invitee signs up with the same email they were invited to and accepts the invitation - the invite is valid for 7 days.
Step 5 - Approve affiliates
When an affiliate applies to your offer, it appears in the "pending affiliate applications" queue in the dashboard. Take a look at the profile - site, promotion channels, audience description - and approve or reject. An approved affiliate can immediately generate a tracking link and start promoting.
Step 6 - Ongoing monitoring
- Clicks - every click is recorded with the affiliate's traffic source.
- Conversions - every sale is reported, with the calculated commission and the platform fee.
- Refunds - when your site reports a refund, the conversion is reversed and the commission is automatically deducted from the affiliate's next payout.
How do you pay affiliates?
affilink calculates and reports who is owed how much - but the payment itself goes from you directly to the affiliates, through a channel you already work with (bank transfer, etc.). An Israeli affiliate issues you an invoice. The system produces the entitlement report; you mark it "paid".
